What does computer memory do for a laptop. Is 448 mb enough for a student. What is saved to ram. ? - laptop memory selector

My laptop is very slow, and I want to know if I should upgrade the memory. Is it expensive portable memory. Would it be worth it to have more memory for 5 months before I get another computer.

RAM is open when you run applications and documents. 448MB should be enough for word processing, surfing, and tables. It would be a little low for games and photoshop. All software comes with a recommended speed of processing and RAM.

If your computer is slow, you probably need to keep. Clean the registry, checking and defragmenting the hard drive. Here is a walk through ... http://www.myofb.net/Articles/Computer-P

get if it had a computer in 5 months I did not disturb the improvement of RAM you have - there are many other things that the speed of the CPU, HD and bus speed. A new laptop will make a big difference - and I recommend buying a laptop for 64-bit native, if you are running Windows Vista. Makes some laptops Toshiba Satellite affordable 64-bit.

You can get portable memory, for about $ 25 for 1GB or $ 40 for 2 GB - http://www.newegg.com/Store/SubCategory. ...

It depends if you use the money before they spend on a new laptop.

448MB is not really enough for everyone, and you will find at least 2 GB to 4 GB - Most operating systems can not.

RAM is used where all the computers that are temporarily stored. RAM is volatile, which means that nothing is lost when power is removed from it. In general, adding RAM is one of the best and most cost-effective upgrade all the computers.

Simply, your data in memory before they outsourced or sent on disk saved. The memory is much faster than a hard drive, so you have more than one point in the operation of the computer. It seems that running the video uses too little memory. I like to see at least 1 GB of RAM running on XP, better and at least 2 gigabytes of memory to run Vista.

Depends on what you do with it. When you get to do normal things, such as word processing, e-mail, surf the Internet, etc. - then yes, it should be. RAM Random Access Memory is - think of it as the memory that the team would be used immediately. The memory that is stored on the hard disk is permanently until you delete or format the hard drive.
More RAM your computer can run faster, but I guess it's probably full of spyware.

Umm RAM is the short-term memory. Mor is why the EU is easier for the processor there with your laptop to make faster ...... 500MB is not very good ... I update, but do not worry not much
