My laptop is very slow, and I want to know if I should upgrade the memory. Is it expensive portable memory. Would it be worth it to have more memory for 5 months before I get another computer.

Umm RAM is the short-term memory. Mor is why the EU is easier for the processor there with your laptop to make faster ...... 500MB is not very good ... I update, but do not worry not much
Supposed to work with Windows XP, adding memory, you probably will not help
